Free online baking classes, organized

The VanillaGoods Baking Academy turns the best free baking tutorials on YouTube into structured courses. Each course moves from the basics to finished bakes in five short lessons, so you always know what to watch next.

Start with baking fundamentals such as measuring by weight and creaming butter, then move on to cakes and cupcakes, cookies and bars, pies and tarts, bread and enriched doughs, doughnuts, custards and crème brûlée, chocolate and confections, ice cream, frostings and piping, and even coffee and tea at home. Advanced bakers can take on laminated doughs in Pastry & Croissant School.

Every lesson credits its creator and pairs the video with VanillaGoods notes and the ingredients to practice with, including the pure vanilla extract and Madagascar, Tahitian and Ugandan vanilla beans we source directly.

Questions about the Academy

Is the Baking Academy really free?

Yes. Every lesson is a free YouTube video you can watch right on the page, with no account or email needed. The optional guides are free too; we email them to you if you'd like them.

Who makes the videos?

Established baking creators on YouTube. Each lesson credits the creator and links to their channel, and the video plays in YouTube's own player. VanillaGoods chooses the lessons, puts them in order and writes the notes and product suggestions around them.

How do you choose lessons?

We search for clear, well-reviewed tutorials that their creators allow to be embedded, then an editor watches every one before it's added. We check regularly that each video is still available.

How does progress tracking work?

Tap Mark lesson complete under a lesson. Your progress is saved in this browser, so it stays private and needs no account.

I'm a creator. Can I suggest a lesson or ask for removal?

Of course. Use our contact page and we'll respond quickly.

Videos are embedded from YouTube with the official player and remain the work of their creators, who are credited on every lesson. VanillaGoods writes the course structure, lesson notes and product recommendations.
