Questions
Are these baking calculators free?
Yes. Every tool is free to use, with no account or sign-up. The calculators run right in your browser, on a phone or a computer.
How accurate are the results?
Conversions use standard references: King Arthur Baking's ingredient weight chart for dry ingredients, measured densities for liquids, USDA egg sizes, standard pan volumes and the US standard of identity for vanilla extract. Tools that predict something, like baking times, rise times or how hard ice cream freezes, are labeled as estimates and explain their assumptions. Always check doneness by sight, touch or temperature.
Can I use metric units?
Yes. Every calculator has a US cups & oz or Metric switch for its results, and most inputs take grams, milliliters, cups or ounces. Your choice is remembered on your device.
Can I save or share my results?
Use Copy to paste the results, or a scaled ingredient list, into your notes or recipe. Share copies a link that opens the calculator with your numbers already filled in.
Do the tools work with VanillaGoods recipes?
Yes. Each tool links to recipes that put it to work, and you can paste the ingredients from any of our recipes into the Recipe Scaling Calculator or the Cups to Grams Converter.
Can I suggest a calculator?
Please do. Tell us through our contact page what you'd like to calculate, or if a number looks wrong, and we'll take a look.
