We email you a sign-in link. No password or account.

Your name as licensed, state and license number, and practice. We check your license with the state board and never publish the number.

- Ingredients
Pick from our ingredient list. Calories are worked out for you.
- Method and baking
Short steps, oven temperature, time and cooling.
- Storage
Room temperature, fridge or freezer, and for how long.
- Who it's for
Dog sizes and life stages, plus an optional tip for owners.
- Check and send
Review, confirm and send. An editor replies within 5 business days.
Short on time? You'll also be able to send a photo of your recipe card and we'll type it in for you.
What happens after you send it
- A named VanillaGoods editor checks every ingredient against our safety records. Ingredients like chocolate, xylitol, grapes and raisins, alcohol and extracts, and raw animal products can't be used.
- We bake every recipe in the VanillaGoods kitchen, exactly as written.
- You approve the final version before it's published. Recipes usually go live within 30 days of approval.
- You can withdraw a recipe or your profile at any time. We remove it within 5 business days.
What we publish about you
Only what you switch on: your name and degree, practice name, city and state, website, booking link, practice phone, a photo, a short bio, interests and languages. We also say when we checked your license with the state board.
Never published: your license number, personal email or phone, or any of the records we keep to verify you. Those stay in a private file and never go into our website system.
The note we show with every recipe
Dr. [Name] contributed this recipe as an unpaid volunteer. In return, VanillaGoods lists Dr. [Name]'s practice information on this site. Dr. [Name] does not endorse VanillaGoods products, and this recipe is general information, not veterinary advice for your dog.
Our promises
- No money changes hands for referrals, sales or discount codes, either way.
- We never call a recipe "vet approved", and we never make health claims. These are treats, not meals or diets.
- No "ask the vet" channel. Owners are always told to ask their own veterinarian.
- VanillaGoods products are never placed next to your name, and recipes never suggest our vanilla extract.
- No patient photos, and no association logos that suggest an endorsement.
