A fried dough pastry from Spain, piped through a star tip into ridged sticks and coated in sugar or cinnamon sugar.

- Spain
Churro dough is often made like choux pastry: water, butter and flour are cooked on the stove, sometimes with eggs beaten in. The star tip gives ridges that help the churros cook evenly and stay crisp.
Churros are fried at about 350 to 375°F (175 to 190°C) until deep golden, then rolled in cinnamon sugar. In Spain they are served with thick hot chocolate for dipping.
