Dipping
Coating a food by dipping it into melted chocolate, glaze or another coating so it is covered evenly. In chocolate work, also called enrobing.

- Techniques and preparation methods
Also called: enrobing
For chocolate-dipped treats, use tempered chocolate or a coating chocolate so it sets shiny and snaps. Dip with a fork, tap off the excess on the side of the bowl and set the piece on parchment.
Chill fillings like truffles before dipping, but not so cold that the chocolate cracks as it sets.
