Oat milk
A creamy, mildly sweet plant milk made by blending oats with water and straining out the solids, often used as a dairy-free swap in baking.

- Baking ingredients and additives
Oat milk can usually replace dairy milk one for one in muffins, pancakes, quick breads and cakes. Its gentle oat flavor stays in the background, and its natural starches give it more body than many nut milks. Unsweetened, plain versions are the safest choice for recipes.
Because oat milk thickens slightly when heated, it works well in puddings and pastry creams thickened with cornstarch. It does not whip like heavy cream. Extra-creamy barista styles behave more like whole milk in sauces and frostings.
