Instructions

  1. Pour 1/2 cup (120 ml) whole milk into a blender, then add 2 cups (480 ml) chocolate ice cream.
  2. Add 1 tbsp (15 ml) chocolate syrup, 2 tbsp (32 g) almond butter, and 1/2 tsp (2.5 ml) pure vanilla extract to the blender.
  3. Blend on low speed for 10 seconds, then blend on medium-high speed for 20 to 30 seconds, until the mixture is thick and smooth. Avoid overblending.
  4. If the milkshake is too thick, add 1 tablespoon of milk at a time and blend briefly. If too thin, add 1/4 cup additional chocolate ice cream and blend again.
  5. Pour the milkshake into a chilled 16-ounce (480 ml) glass.
  6. Top with 2 tbsp (30 ml) whipped cream and sprinkle 1 tsp (5 g) chocolate shavings on top.
  7. Serve immediately with a wide straw and long spoon.

Tips

  • Use smooth almond butter for easier blending without adding grit. For a thinner milkshake, substitute some milk with almond milk to enhance the nutty flavor.
