About the farm

From the farm's website

Since 2014

Planting Hope Apiary began in 2014 as part of the Delaware Department of Agriculture’s Veteran Beekeeper program. The apiaries produce honey, use apiary beeswax for candles, and produce nucleus colonies and local queens for sale; they partner with The Boston Honey Company to provide mated queen bees. The apiary also teaches new beekeepers and gives removed bees a home.
