Instructions

  1. Add 1/2 cup whole milk, 2 cups vanilla ice cream, and 1/2 cup sweet potato puree to a blender.
  2. Add 1/2 tsp pure vanilla extract, 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon, and 1/4 tsp ground nutmeg.
  3. Blend on low for 10 seconds, then on medium-high for 20–30 seconds, just until thick and smooth. Avoid overblending.
  4. Check consistency. Add 1 tablespoon milk at a time if too thick, or 1/4 cup additional ice cream if too thin.
  5. Pour into a chilled 16-ounce glass and top with 2 tbsp whipped cream and 1 tbsp graham cracker or pie crust crumbs.
  6. Serve immediately with a wide straw and long spoon.
