  • ½ cup (120.0 ml)ice cubes

Instructions

  1. Add the plain kefir to a high-speed blender.
  2. Add the frozen banana, pure vanilla extract, and fine sea salt.
  3. Add the ice cubes.
  4. Blend on low for 10 seconds, then increase to high and blend for 35–50 seconds until completely smooth.
  5. Check the consistency. Add 1–2 tablespoons more kefir if too thick, or a few extra ice cubes or frozen fruit if too thin and blend again briefly.
  6. Pour into a 16-ounce glass and serve immediately.

  • Use frozen banana to give the smoothie a creamy texture without needing additional ice. Substitute vanilla bean paste for a richer vanilla flavor.
