  • pinch of fine sea salt
  • 2.0 tsp (10.0 ml)pure vanilla extract
  • ¼ tsp (1.25 ml)pure almond extract

Instructions

  1. Whisk the brown sugar, cocoa and salt together in a small saucepan.
  2. Whisk in the water and bring to a simmer over medium heat, stirring until the sugar dissolves.
  3. Simmer gently for 3 minutes.
  4. Remove from the heat and stir in the vanilla and almond extract.
  5. Cool completely, pour into a clean bottle and refrigerate.
