Instructions
- Combine 1/4 cup fig purée and 1/2 cup whole milk in a blender. Blend on medium for 20 seconds to mix.
- Add 2 cups vanilla ice cream and 1/2 tsp pure vanilla extract to the blender.
- Blend on low for 10 seconds, then on medium-high for 20–30 seconds until thick and smooth. Avoid overblending.
- Check consistency. Add 1 tablespoon milk at a time if too thick, or 1/4 cup additional ice cream if too thin.
- Pour the milkshake into a chilled 16-ounce glass and top with 2 tbsp whipped cream.
- Serve immediately with a wide straw and long spoon.

- Make fresh fig purée by blending ripe figs. Substitute fig preserves if fresh figs aren't available, adjusting sweetness as needed.
