Instructions

  1. Confirm ready-cooked pandan cendol jelly is completely cooked and safely chilled; never serve raw rice-flour jelly.
  2. Divide cendol jelly between two clean tall glasses.
  3. Add palm sugar syrup and ice, then gently pour chilled coconut milk over the layered dessert.
  4. For this original jackfruit adaptation, add 55 g ripe jackfruit pieces to the prepared base and stir or blend until evenly dispersed; if it is a spice or chopped solid, hydrate, infuse or melt it in the warm phase, then strain if necessary.
  5. Stir only at the table and serve immediately with both a spoon and a straw.

Tips

  • Serve with a spoon or wide straw; pre-cooked gel, noodles or pearls require temperature control and thoughtful choking-risk labeling.
  • Perishables must not sit at room temperature longer than 2 hours, or 1 hour above 90°F (32°C).
