Instructions
- Add 1/3 cup (79 ml) whole milk to a blender, followed by 2 cups (480 ml) chocolate ice cream.
- Add 1 tbsp (15 ml) chocolate syrup, 1/2 tsp pure vanilla extract, and 2 shots (60 ml) chilled espresso.
- Blend on low for 10 seconds, then on medium-high for 20 to 30 seconds, just until thick and smooth. Avoid overblending.
- Check consistency. Add 1 tablespoon milk at a time if too thick, or 1/4 cup additional ice cream if too thin.
- Pour into a chilled 16-ounce glass and top with 2 tbsp (30 ml) whipped cream and 1 tsp (5 g) chocolate shavings.
- Serve immediately with a wide straw and long spoon.
