Instructions
- Add the milk to a high-speed blender.
- Add the frozen banana, unsweetened cocoa powder, chocolate almond butter, honey or maple syrup, vanilla extract, and fine sea salt.
- Add the ice cubes.
- Blend on low for 10 seconds, then increase to high and blend for 35–50 seconds, until completely smooth and creamy.
- Check consistency. If too thick, blend in 1–2 tablespoons additional milk; if too thin, add a few more ice cubes or frozen banana slices and blend again.
- Pour into a 16-ounce glass and serve immediately.
Tips
- If you cannot find chocolate almond butter, use regular almond butter and add an extra 1 tsp of cocoa powder. For a creamier texture, substitute milk with almond milk or oat milk.
