Instructions
- Add whole milk and chocolate ice cream to a blender.
- Add chocolate syrup, frozen cherries, and pure vanilla extract.
- Blend on low for 10 seconds, then on medium-high for 20 to 30 seconds, until the mixture is thick and smooth. Avoid overblending.
- Check consistency. Add milk 1 tablespoon at a time if too thick, or additional ice cream 1/4 cup at a time if too thin, blending briefly after each addition.
- Pour into a chilled 16-ounce glass and top with whipped cream and chocolate shavings.
- Serve immediately with a wide straw and long spoon.
Tips
- Use fresh or thawed cherries if frozen ones are unavailable. For a thicker milkshake, freeze milk in ice cube trays and use instead of liquid milk.
