Instructions
- Toast the chopped walnuts in a dry skillet over medium heat for 3-4 minutes until fragrant. Let cool slightly.
- Add 1/2 cup whole milk to a blender, followed by 2 cups vanilla ice cream and the toasted walnuts.
- Add 1/2 tsp pure vanilla extract.
- Blend on low for 10 seconds, then on medium-high for 20–30 seconds, just until thick and smooth. Avoid overblending to keep walnut texture.
- Check consistency. Add 1 tablespoon milk at a time if too thick, or 1/4 cup additional ice cream if too thin.
- Pour into a chilled 16-ounce glass and top with 2 tbsp whipped cream.
- Serve immediately with a wide straw and long spoon.
Tips
- Toast walnuts before blending to enhance their flavor. For a nuttier texture, reserve a few toasted walnut halves for garnish.
