Instructions
- Heat the oven to 450°F with a rack in the upper third.
- Warm the cream in an 8- or 10-inch oven-safe skillet over low heat, then remove from the heat, add the chocolate and vanilla, and stir until smooth.
- Arrange the marshmallow halves cut side down over the chocolate, covering it completely.
- Bake until the marshmallows are puffed and deeply golden, 5 to 7 minutes; watch closely.
- Let stand 5 minutes (the skillet is very hot), then serve with graham crackers and bread pieces.
