Instructions
- Add 1/2 cup (120 ml) whole milk to a blender, followed by 2 cups (480 ml) vanilla ice cream.
- Add 1/4 cup (30 g) toasted pecans, chopped, and 1/2 tsp (2.5 ml) pure vanilla extract.
- Blend on low for 10 seconds, then on medium-high for 20–30 seconds until thick and smooth, taking care not to overblend.
- Check consistency; add 1 tablespoon (15 ml) milk at a time if too thick, or 1/4 cup (60 ml) additional ice cream if too thin.
- Pour into a chilled 16-ounce glass and top with 2 tbsp (30 ml) whipped cream.
- Serve immediately with a wide straw and long spoon.
Tips
- Use freshly toasted pecans for a richer praline flavor. For a dairy-free version, substitute almond or oat milk and dairy-free ice cream.
