Instructions

  1. Cut the vanilla beans into 1/2-inch pieces with kitchen scissors.
  2. Blend the pieces with the vanilla extract in a small blender or spice grinder, scraping down the sides often, until the beans break down into a coarse, speckled paste, 3 to 5 minutes.
  3. Add the corn syrup and blend again until thick and evenly combined.
  4. For a smoother paste, press it through a coarse sieve to remove any tough fibers.
  5. Spoon into a small jar, seal, and refrigerate for up to 6 months.
