Instructions

  1. Add 1/3 cup whole milk and 2 cups vanilla ice cream to a blender.
  2. Add 1 1/2 tbsp caramel sauce, 1/2 tsp pure vanilla extract and 2 shots (2 fl oz) chilled espresso.
  3. Blend on low for 10 seconds, then on medium-high for 20–30 seconds until thick and smooth. Avoid overblending.
  4. Check consistency. Add 1 tbsp milk at a time if too thick, or 1/4 cup additional ice cream if too thin.
  5. Pour into a chilled 16-ounce glass and top with 2 tbsp whipped cream and 1 tsp caramel drizzle.
  6. Serve immediately with a wide straw and long spoon.

Tips

  • Use freshly brewed espresso chilled in advance for best flavor. For a thicker shake, add a bit more ice cream instead of milk.
