Instructions

  1. Add 1/2 cup whole milk and 2 cups vanilla ice cream to a blender.
  2. Add 1/2 tsp pure vanilla extract and 1/4 tsp butter extract to mimic croissant flavor.
  3. Blend on low for 10 seconds, then on medium-high for 20–30 seconds until thick and smooth. Avoid overblending.
  4. Check consistency. Add 1 tablespoon milk at a time if too thick, or 1/4 cup additional ice cream if too thin.
  5. Pour into a chilled 16-ounce glass and top with 2 tbsp whipped cream.
  6. Serve immediately with a wide straw and long spoon.

Tips

  • Use butter extract to recreate the buttery flavor of a croissant. If unavailable, a small amount of melted unsalted butter or a pinch of cinnamon can enhance the flavor.
