  • ⅛ tspfine sea salt
  • ¾ cup (64.0 g)sweetened shredded coconut, toasted
  • ¾ cup (101.0 g)macadamia nuts, toasted and chopped

Instructions

  1. Line a rimmed baking sheet with parchment.
  2. Set aside a third of the chocolate. Melt the rest in a heatproof bowl over barely simmering water (or in 20-second microwave bursts), stirring, until it reaches 105°F.
  3. Remove from the heat and stir in the reserved chocolate until melted and the chocolate cools to 84 to 86°F. It's tempered when a streak on parchment sets glossy and firm within 5 minutes.
  4. Stir in the salt.
  5. Spread the chocolate about 1/4 inch thick on the parchment.
  6. Right away, scatter the sweetened shredded coconut and macadamia nuts over the top and press gently so they stick.
  7. Let set at cool room temperature until firm, about 1 hour, then break into pieces.

Tips

  • Short on time? Skip tempering, melt the chocolate gently, and keep the bark refrigerated; it will be softer and less glossy.
  • Storage: Store airtight in a cool, dry place for up to 2 weeks.
