  • 1.0 tsp (5.0 ml)pure vanilla extract
  • 1.0 cup (240.0 ml)ice cubes
  • small pinch of fine sea salt

Instructions

  1. Add the unsweetened coconut milk beverage to a high-speed blender.
  2. Add the banana, shredded coconut, unsweetened cocoa powder, honey or maple syrup, pure vanilla extract, and fine sea salt.
  3. Add the ice cubes.
  4. Blend on low for 10 seconds, then increase to high and blend for 35–50 seconds, until completely smooth.
  5. Check consistency and adjust by blending in 1–2 tablespoons additional coconut milk if too thick, or a few extra ice cubes if too thin.
  6. Pour into a 16-ounce glass and serve immediately.

  • Use maple syrup instead of honey for a vegan option. Freeze the banana slices beforehand for a colder, creamier smoothie.
