Instructions

  1. Pour 1/2 cup whole milk into a blender, then add 2 cups chocolate ice cream.
  2. Add 1 tbsp chocolate syrup, 1/2 cup frozen raspberries, and 1/2 tsp pure vanilla extract.
  3. Blend on low speed for 10 seconds, then on medium-high for 20 to 30 seconds until thick and smooth. Avoid overblending.
  4. Check the consistency. Add 1 tablespoon milk at a time if too thick, or 1/4 cup additional ice cream if too thin, and blend briefly.
  5. Pour the milkshake into a chilled 16-ounce glass.
  6. Top with 2 tbsp whipped cream and 1 tsp chocolate shavings.
  7. Serve immediately with a wide straw and a long spoon.

Tips

  • Use fresh or frozen raspberries for fruit flavor; frozen gives a thicker shake. For a dairy-free option, substitute milk and ice cream with plant-based versions.
