Instructions
- Add the milk to a high-speed blender first.
- Add the pitted Medjool dates, unsweetened cocoa powder, honey or maple syrup, vanilla extract, and fine sea salt.
- Add the ice cubes.
- Blend on low for 10 seconds, then increase to high and blend for 35–50 seconds, until completely smooth.
- Check consistency. If too thick, blend in 1–2 tablespoons (15–30 ml) additional milk; if too thin, add a few extra ice cubes or frozen fruit and blend briefly again.
- Pour into a 16-ounce (480 ml) glass and serve immediately.

- Use whole milk or any preferred milk alternative. Dates add natural sweetness, so adjust sweetener according to taste.
