Instructions
- Add 1/2 cup whole milk and 1 tablespoon brown sugar to a blender, and stir to dissolve the sugar slightly.
- Add 2 cups vanilla ice cream, 1/2 tsp pure vanilla extract, and 1/8 tsp butter extract to the blender.
- Blend on low for 10 seconds, then on medium-high for 20–30 seconds, just until thick and smooth. Avoid overblending.
- Check consistency. Add 1 tablespoon milk at a time if too thick, or 1/4 cup additional ice cream if too thin.
- Pour into a chilled 16-ounce glass and top with 2 tbsp whipped cream.
- Serve immediately with a wide straw and long spoon.
Tips
- For a richer butter flavor, use butter extract and brown sugar to evoke a blondie taste. You can make it vegan by substituting dairy ice cream and milk with plant-based alternatives.
