About the drive

Indiana's Historic Pathways crosses the southern part of the state on US 50 and US 150, a corridor FHWA says began as a bison trace and became a pioneer road and stagecoach route before the modern highways.

It starts at the Illinois line at Vincennes, where George Rogers Clark National Historical Park stands on the Wabash River, and runs east through rolling hills and forest to Shoals, then northeast on US 50 to Lawrenceburg on the Ohio River.

It's a full day's drive end to end, with historic town centers and countryside in between.
