About the drive

The Battle Road Scenic Byway follows the route of the first day of the American Revolution through Arlington, Lexington, Lincoln and Concord. Much of it runs on Route 2A through Minute Man National Historical Park.

Park stops mark the day's events: the site where Paul Revere was captured, the 1733 Hartwell Tavern, Parker's Revenge, and Concord's North Bridge. The same towns were later home to Emerson, Thoreau, Louisa May Alcott, Margaret Fuller and Hawthorne.

Park grounds are open sunrise to sunset. We haven't verified a complete route line for this byway, so the map shows the stops only.
