Stand mixer
A countertop electric mixer with a motor that holds the beater over a bowl, freeing the baker's hands for long mixing, whipping and kneading jobs.

- Equipment, utensils and bakeware
Most stand mixers come with three attachments: a flat beater or paddle for creaming butter and mixing batters and cookie doughs, a wire whisk for whipping cream and egg whites, and a dough hook for kneading bread dough. In many models the beater spins while also circling the bowl to reach the whole mixture.
Start on low speed when adding flour or powdered sugar to avoid a cloud, and stop to scrape down the bowl and beater now and then.
