Instructions

  1. Add 1/3 cup (80 ml) whole milk to a blender, followed by 2 cups (480 ml) chocolate ice cream.
  2. Add 1/3 cup (40 g) brownie pieces, 2 shots (60 ml) chilled espresso, and 1/2 teaspoon pure vanilla extract.
  3. Blend on low speed for 10 seconds, then on medium-high speed for 20–30 seconds until thick and smooth. Avoid overblending.
  4. Check consistency. Add 1 tablespoon milk at a time if too thick, or 1/4 cup additional ice cream if too thin.
  5. Pour into a chilled 16-ounce glass and top with 2 tablespoons (30 ml) whipped cream and 1 tablespoon (8 g) brownie crumbs.
  6. Serve immediately with a wide straw and a long spoon.

Tips

  • Use freshly chilled espresso for the best flavor. Brownie pieces add texture; feel free to substitute with your favorite dense chocolate cake chunks.
