Cookie icing
A smooth icing for decorating cookies that sets with a firm, glossy or matte finish, such as royal icing or a corn-syrup glaze icing.

- Decorating, finishing and presentation
Royal icing dries hard and matte and is best for detailed piping. Glaze-style cookie icing is made from powdered sugar, milk and corn syrup; it sets firm enough to stack but stays softer and shinier.
Icing is thinned for flooding, stiffened for outlines, tinted with gel food coloring and left to dry for several hours.
