Instructions

  1. In a small saucepan, gently melt mini marshmallows over low heat, stirring constantly until smooth. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
  2. Add 1/2 cup whole milk to a blender, followed by 2 cups chocolate ice cream.
  3. Pour the melted marshmallows, 15 ml chocolate syrup, and 2.5 ml pure vanilla extract into the blender.
  4. Blend on low for 10 seconds, then on medium-high for 20–30 seconds, just until thick and smooth. Avoid overblending.
  5. Check consistency. Add 15 ml milk at a time if too thick, or 120 ml (1/2 cup) additional ice cream if too thin.
  6. Pour into a chilled 16-ounce glass and top with 30 ml whipped cream and 5 g chocolate shavings.
  7. Serve immediately with a wide straw and long spoon.

Tips

  • For a fluffier shake, try folding in some mini marshmallows after blending instead of melting them. Use whole milk for the creamiest texture.
