Instructions

  1. Melt 2 oz (57 g) white chocolate in a microwave-safe bowl or double boiler until smooth. Let cool slightly.
  2. Add 1/2 cup whole milk and 2 cups vanilla ice cream to a blender.
  3. Pour in the melted white chocolate and 1/2 tsp pure vanilla extract.
  4. Blend on low for 10 seconds, then on medium-high for 20–30 seconds until thick and smooth. Avoid overblending.
  5. Check consistency. Add 1 tablespoon milk at a time if too thick, or 1/4 cup additional ice cream if too thin.
  6. Pour into a chilled 16-ounce glass. Top with 2 tbsp whipped cream and 1 tsp white chocolate shavings.
  7. Serve immediately with a wide straw and long spoon.

Tips

  • Melt the white chocolate gently to prevent burning, and allow it to cool slightly before blending to avoid melting the ice cream too much. Use white chocolate shavings to complement the flavor and enhance presentation.
